The desk was neatly equipped with the usual twin pens that never worked, the fake leather blotter, the marine brass clock, the rotating calendar. The big, expansive man behind the desk wore a well-advertised, brand of tweed suit. The only personal thing in the room was his smile, sitting opposite him, I tried to define it, but the effort failed. Nothing of importance, beyond the usual pleasantries, had been exchanged since I had entered his office. Finally, I asked him it I should like down on the couch. “Why?” The doctor smiled, “are you tired?” “No,” I said, “I only thought…” “You don’t look very sick to me” Mr. Quinn. Let’s site and talk” It wasn’t at all as I had imagined. “a few days ago I saw you in an Italian movie. That last scene of your crying on the beach was, and much, much more. This book does not have illustrations. Thanks for looking.
